Sorry the photos from the last post seem to be in the wrong order!
I have added some paint to the quilt but now I just want to add a little more paint to the green to reduce the vibrancy as the green stands out too much and I want to get rid of some of the gold. The binding was a swine to do as the wool was so stretchy and i had so little fabric. Lessons learnt!
More work to be done on it before it is finished!
Maybe you can reduce the gold by stamping some grey/black paint over it. It is indeed a bit overwhelming now :-). This can also be done to reduce the bright green.
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian,
ReplyDeleteLiked your design - really reflected hilly nature of the area where you live - also liked the piece in development as monochromatic with those lovely blues but the overprinting does add more depth to the piece.
I agree with Jean. I like your design and your use of color. The red doorways really lead my eye into the piece. It has been fun to watch this one evolve!
