Finally
I finished my Quilt and I try to upload it to our blog. I decided to dedicate
my Voyage on issues related to Israel. This time I focused on the desert
landscape in the southern part of the country. After many years of drought we finally
had a real winter this year with lots of rain. All streams in the Judean desert
filled with water and there were many floods that were very impressive sight.
One image I loved the most was of a sunset over desert after rain and I decided
to translate it into a quilt.
Shoshi
Lovely Shoshi, I especially like the flowing feeling in your quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like your choice of fabric Shoshi - they give a very textural feel to the piece, particularly the way some of the pieces appear to reflect light.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Shoshi - I love the desert environment - to see it after the rains is something special! A great interpretion
ReplyDeleteThe way you have broken the piece into sections makes it much more interesting and makes one look more intently.I have just read "The Dovekeepers" by Alice Hoffman, a sad book, but it has made me focus on your part of the world,Shoshi.
ReplyDeleteShoshi, your use of color really evokes the desert environment. I can identify with the desert since I live in Arizona. I also like the way you have broken the piece into sections. I can't wait to see your next piece.
