2017

We move forward from two successful exhibitions in 2016 in Prague and in the USA to the challenge of an exhibition in the Netherlands in the Autumn. We continue to work on A2 sized pieces in portrait format and will be producing four pieces over the year with the theme of 'Freedom'. An essential part of our art is working in series to a common format which does give us all a framework for our creative endeavours.

Duluth Show 2015

Well, I am back and just about recovered!

The Minnesota Quilters Association Annual Quilt Show in Duluth, MN, June 2015

I was very pleased with the reception and appreciation we received at the Duluth Show. The thing that most impressed the visitors (besides the beautiful art) was the international make-up of our group. I must have told the short version of how Voyage got started and grew, how we keep in touch, etc. hundreds of times! In short, I think I can safely say....Voyage Art Textiles exhibit was a big hit!

Here are the photos I took of the exhibit and its visitors. ENJOY!

This is the full length of the exhibit taken before the show opened.

Here are the individual artists

Alison

Elaine

Francis

Gillian

Gretchen

Jean

Kelly

Margaret

Pat

Shoshi

Wil

I am including several photos of visitors to the exhibit because I think it is great to see the interest they had in the art. A few just walked by and glanced at the pieces, but the majority responded as in these photos, looking closely at each individual piece and reading the descriptions.

This is the woman (in pink) I told you about that came back to see them again because she just couldn't get them out of her head. She described it as a "moving experience".

So that is the Duluth 2015 show, all wrapped up and reported. It was a privilege to be the representative of such a wonderful and talented group as Voyage at this show! Thank you all for allowing me this privilege!

  2. So much hard work for you Kelly, but you did a great job - they seemed to have been very generous with the space you were given for the exhibit.

  3. Great to see them all together like that; they look wonderful. Hard work for you Kelly, but an impressive result. A book of all of them will be a fantastic momento of our work for 2014.
