We move forward from two successful exhibitions in 2016 in Prague and in the USA to the challenge of an exhibition in the Netherlands in the Autumn. We continue to work on A2 sized pieces in portrait format and will be producing four pieces over the year with the theme of 'Freedom'. An essential part of our art is working in series to a common format which does give us all a framework for our creative endeavours.

Musa's Circles. 
I've been buying these Kola and Indigo dyed fabrics from Musa Jaiteh (from The Gambia) for over ten years now - I never tire of them!  There is a simple beauty in the combination of colours and the simple tie-ing techniques he uses.This is not my first quilt using this fabric and I'm sure it won't be my last!  I think you'll all agree that this is quite different from Alison's circles.  It will be interesting to see the different ideas that we come up with.

    I don't know if it's fair that you have got such a fabulous stash to choose from! I love the colour combination. In a different context I recently saw these colours described as vibrant yellow and a very reassuring blue. I think it goes for your piece as well.
