2017

We move forward from two successful exhibitions in 2016 in Prague and in the USA to the challenge of an exhibition in the Netherlands in the Autumn. We continue to work on A2 sized pieces in portrait format and will be producing four pieces over the year with the theme of 'Freedom'. An essential part of our art is working in series to a common format which does give us all a framework for our creative endeavours.

Circles Number One.

My quilts for 2013 will all be to to with circles. Using fabrics and embelishments already in my stash. For the first piece I started by cutting a circle of fabric the biggest that would fit inside the finished size we have agreed for this year. I cut it, opened it up and 'unpacked' the circles inside. Just following where the fabrics and more circles led till I achieved something that I found pleasing. Then I apliqued and quilted by machine and by hand to put it all together.

  1. I like your idea and your design of this piece--the way the layers peel back is ingenious! I also like that you are using fabrics and embellishments already in your stash. I would love to see this quilt in person. The workmanship is very nice!
